Joe Zawinul’s “Birdland” is one of the many iconic songs that came out of the band Weather Report, and now your quintet can add this infectious music to your concert programs! Modeled after the famous recording by trumpeter Maynard Ferguson, this arrangement lowers the pitch to concert C major to make this accessible to many. Trumpet 1 range is to written high D (D6).
